New Learner Experience Checklist

The following is a brief overview of which image types and locations are new, what is staying the same and which images you will want to preview in the new learner experience.

 Catalog Home Page

Catalog Hero Image : 

• Recommended size: 2400 x 650 px (maximum 2400 x 2400 px)
• Displays at 100% width and scales to height of image
• Best practice: keep the image height short so that user scrolling is
minimized. Also, consider using a carousel of images that link to other
pages besides the Catalog.

Custom Activity Row : 

• Custom rows offer potential for a more personalized learner experience
• Best practice: Use a custom row to advertise new activities or to
highlight older activities that aren’t getting adequate usage

Activity Cover Art :

• Recommended size: 16 x 9 ratio; 700 x 394 px maximum size
• Images smaller than the max size will scale up and center-crop to this
size; images larger than the max size will scale down and center-crop
• “Responsive” images are not currently supported but will be in the future

Catalog Banner Image : 

• Recommended size: 16 x 9 ratio; 400 x 225 px
• Images smaller than the max size will scale up and center-crop to this
size; images larger than the max size will scale down and center-crop
• There is a 30 px “text-safe” border around the edge of the image;
minimum font size for text in image is 12 px
• Each image can include an internal or external link to content

Path/Activity Hero Image :

• Recommended size: 2400 x 650 px (maximum 2400 x 2400 px)

If obtaining professional-quality imagery is difficult, or you just want to use high-quality placeholder
images while working on your brand-specific images, we recommend browsing the following asset
