Bulk Upload Activity Content

Activities can be bulk-uploaded into the LMS through the use of a .CSV file (commonly created in Excel). Please be sure your .CSV file is appropriately formatted before continuing.


Go to the Activity Import screen

  • From the Admin View select the Activities icon.
  • Click on the Import dropdown in the top right corner, and choose Activities.


Check that your .CSV Activities file is in an accurate format

Use the information on the Bulk Activity Import screen to ensure your .CSV file is built/formatted properly.


Note 1 - On the Bulk Activity Import screen, you are presented with a file format (which you can download) as well as a downloadable sample file. You must adhere to the data requirements as outlined by the file format and create a .CSV file to upload.

Note 2 - The following fields are required in the .CSV File:

  • Type
  • Activity Code
  • Activity Name

Upload the .CSV Activity file

Scroll to the bottom of the Bulk Activity Import screen and click the Choose File button. After choosing the file from your computer, click the Upload button.

You will receive a message stating whether the import is successful or not. If unsuccessful, edit your .csv file and try again.


Review Information and Finalize Upload

A screen like the one below will display with your Activity information in place. The example shows a file that has information for three Activities. You can create any number of Activities via the Import, however if you are creating a very large amount of Activities, waiting until after hours will allow the import to run more quickly.

If the information displayed is accurate, click the Import file button to finalize your Activity(s). You will receive a notification email when the import has finished.

Note: As you can see, you also have the option to Upload a different file. If the information you've reviewed is inaccurate, use a different file or update your current file to better match the required format, and then try again by clicking the Upload a different file link.



Check System Log - You can check your System Log to see the import job being queued and completed.

View Activities - Back on the Activities page, you can see the Activities that you imported.
